Welfare Association for New Generation (WANG) is a Youth-led Non-Government Organisation, active in community development in Lasbela. The primary focus of WANG is to struggle for a fairer society where everyone can obtain a life of justice and dignity. Youth Development, Peace Building, Young Girls Leadership are the most important components of its mission. education, conflict resolution, drug abuse, and young people’s health and livelihood security are our primary areas of concern.
In recent years, WANG has emerged as the leading youth-led organization in Balochistan, WANG has been successful to bring different organizations and networks in Balochistan to work together for the Youth of Balochistan.
Continuing our efforts We have joined hands with the British Council Pakistan and the Scottish government for Taking our struggle further to the next level on 16th February 2015 WANG with the support of the British Council and The Scottish Government awarded a scholarship to 40 selected deserving kids under the Pakistan Scottish Scholarship Scheme for Schools 2015.
The purpose of this scholarship is to help the kids to continue their education in schools who are at high risk of drop out from schools due to a lack of support from families financially to continue their studies.
WANG with its 1O partner schools under British Council Pakistan’s Schools Online Project has identified 40 kids from 10 different schools. The selection was made after analyzing recommendations from schools, student’s family background, past records, and commitment to further studies with the passion of students.
