As a non-profit, WANG is aware of the significance of fostering accountability and transparency in the distribution of public funds. As part of the Citizens’ Network for Budget Accountability (CNBA), WANG organized a successful Stakeholders Dialogue on Transparent Budgeting. The goal of this event was to bring together a wide range of stakeholders to talk about the importance of open budgeting and the role of citizens in this process.

Participants from a variety of backgrounds, including professionals, decision-makers, representatives from civil society organizations, and local leaders, attended the event and offered insightful commentary on the subject. The speakers emphasized the significance of transparency and accountability in the distribution of public resources as well as the necessity for individuals to be informed about and involved in the budgeting process. They also discussed ways to more effectively involve citizens in the budgeting process as well as the opportunities and difficulties for increasing openness and accountability.

The Stakeholders Dialogue on Transparent Budgeting offered a useful forum for discussing the contribution that citizens may make to the promotion of transparent budgeting. The participants left the event with a better awareness of the significance of transparent budgeting and the role of citizens in this process thanks to the vibrant and thought-provoking talks that took place.

WANG is dedicated to encouraging accountability and openness in the distribution of public resources and to enabling citizens to participate more actively in this process. In order to fulfill this objective, WANG develops engagement opportunities for young people and community members to take part in civic education programs and debates about what it means to be an active citizen. One of the numerous initiatives WANG is working on to encourage transparency and accountability in the budgeting process and to enable citizens to be more involved in this process is the Stakeholders Dialogue on Transparent Budgeting
