Karachi – The Welfare Association for New Generation (WANG), based in Balochistan, has achieved a remarkable milestone by winning the K-Electric Karachi Awards 2025 in recognition of its outstanding social services. This prestigious award, presented at a grand ceremony held at a local hotel in Karachi, acknowledges WANG’s transformative contributions to education, healthcare, and community development across Balochistan.

On this historic occasion, WANG’s Director of Programs, Khalil Roonjho, and Director of WANG Lab of Innovation, Aftab Roonjho, proudly received the award, marking a significant achievement for the organization. The K-Electric Karachi Awards 2025 celebrate institutions and individuals making a profound impact on social welfare in Pakistan, and WANG’s recognition underscores its leadership in uplifting underprivileged communities in Balochistan.
This accolade highlights WANG’s relentless commitment to improving the welfare and sustainability of local communities, earning high praise from the award jury for the breadth and effectiveness of its initiatives, including the WANG Lab of Innovation (WALI), scholarship programs, and healthcare outreach.
The Karachi Awards 2025: A National Benchmark
The Karachi Awards 2025 received over 166 nominations from across Pakistan, with WANG standing out among more than 40 social organizations recognized for their contributions. Other notable winners include Shahid Afridi Foundation, HANDS Pakistan, Idara-e-Taleem-o-Aagahi, Kiran Foundation, Saylani Welfare Trust, Indus Hospital, IBA, SPARC, and others, all actively working in areas like education, healthcare, women’s empowerment, environmental protection, community development, and human rights.

WANG’s inclusion among these national leaders highlights its role as a beacon of hope and progress, not only in Balochistan but throughout Pakistan. The award reflects the organization’s innovative approaches, such as digital skills training for youth, solar energy projects for rural villages, and educational programs for girls, all of which drive social change and resilience.
