After Successfully completing phase 1 of Take a Child to School Program by enrolling 2423 out of school childrens into Schools with the help of 240 volunteers. WANG has signed a new MoU with British Council to continue the work in phase 2.
In phase 2 WANG aims to enroll 1750 out of school children into Lasbela in this regard we in first quarter starting from February 2018 to May 2018 We have organized 3 training in 3 union councils including UC Bela City, UC Gaddor and UC Kathor and have succesfully engaged 93 ILMBASSIDORs and trained them.
The 4 day training that volunteers go through bring strong sense of ownership among the participants regarding their communities and how their work as Ilmabasaddor can change their fate of their community.
The energy we see among volunteers is outstanding. Volunteer have already begin collecting data from the field through household surveys and have already started taking out of school children to school through mobilisation in different towns.
Along with training volunteers WANG also forming Mohalla Committees which consists of our trained volunteers, representatives of teachers, parents, political figure and religious sector who work jointly with our ILMBASADDORS for highlight education related issues in their respective towns.
